The Prestained Protein Ladder (245 kDa) is a three-color prestained protein standard which includes protein dye for convenient protein sample staining. The protein ladder consists of 12 prestained proteins covering a wide range of molecular weights (10 to 245 kDa). Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer). The Prestained Protein Ladder is designed for monitoring protein separated during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose) and for approximate sizing of proteins. The ladder is supplied in a gel loading buffer and is ready to use, without heating, diluting, or a reducing agent prior to loading.

The High-Speed Plasmid Mini Kit was designed for both plasmid and cosmid DNA purification. This plasmid kit will purify plasmid DNA/cosmid DNA from 1-5 ml of cultured bacterial cells using an efficient plasmid miniprep system. The High-Speed Plasmid Mini Kit uses a modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment to obtain clear cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA/RNA contaminants. In the presence of chaotropic salt, plasmid DNA in the lysate binds to the glass fiber matrix of the plasmid spin column. Contaminants are removed with a Wash Buffer (containing ethanol) and the purified plasmid DNA is eluted by a low salt Elution Buffer, TE or water. The Midi Plasmid Kit Endotoxin Free was designed for plasmid DNA purification and endotoxin removal using pre-packed anion-exchange resin midiprep columns to purify plasmid DNA from 50-300 ml of cultured bacterial cells.
